How does soft play hire work?
Book Toddler Town for a full day, add Play All Weekend for a second day, or ask about Bespoke Play Zone for bigger venues. We deliver, set up the play equipment and collect when your hire ends.
What is included in Toddler Town?
A medium ball pond, bouncy animal riders, step and wedge, balance beam, soft blocks, tumble mats and more. Full day hire from R 1 200. See the package card for the full list.
What age is soft play suitable for?
Our equipment suits toddlers and young children roughly aged 1 to 6. Adult supervision is required at all times. We do not supply a supervisor.
How much space do I need?
Roughly 4m x 4m for Toddler Town, plus space for children to move around safely. Send us your venue dimensions and we will advise on layout.
Can soft play be set up outdoors?
Yes on flat, dry ground with a shaded area in summer. A hall, marquee or covered patio works brilliantly.
Do you set up and pack down?
Yes. Delivery, assembly and collection are all part of your hire. We also give a quick safety briefing when we arrive.
Is the equipment clean?
Yes. Our soft play pieces are cleaned and checked between every hire.
Can I hire for a whole weekend?
Yes. Play All Weekend keeps the full set for a second day for R 650, booked with your main package.
What about school halls and bigger events?
Ask about Bespoke Play Zone. We can tailor a layout with extra mats and play pieces for larger crowds.

How to prepare for the day
Soft play needs a safe, flat area and adult eyes on the little ones. Get your space ready before we arrive.
Measure your space
Toddler Town needs roughly 4m x 4m plus room to move around. Send us dimensions if you are unsure.
Flat dry surface
A hall floor, marquee matting or flat lawn works. Avoid slopes, mud or wet grass.
Shade in summer
If outdoors, a shaded area keeps mats and play pieces comfortable for little hands.
Clear the zone
Remove furniture, toys and trip hazards from the play area before we set up.
Arrange supervisors
An adult must watch children at all times. We do not supply a supervisor.
Easy access for setup
We carry mats and play pieces in from the van. A clear path through gates or halls saves time.

Your safety and your guests' safety come first. Please follow these guidelines during your hire period.
- Adult supervision is required at all times — hire does not include a supervisor.
- Remove shoes before entering the soft play area where applicable.
- Do not allow food, drinks or sharp objects in the play zone.
- Follow maximum capacity guidelines provided on delivery.
- Stop use immediately in wet or windy outdoor conditions.
Weather policy & instructions
Soft play is designed for young children on padded equipment. Wet, windy or unstable conditions make outdoor setups unsafe — supervision and a suitable surface are essential.
Ideal conditions
Indoor halls, church halls and dry covered patios are ideal. The play zone should be flat, clean and away from traffic paths.
- Dry flooring or dry artificial grass under cover
- Adult supervision at all times — hire does not include a supervisor
- Maximum capacity limits posted on delivery must be followed
- No food, drinks or shoes in the play area where rules apply
Wet weather — stop use
Do not use soft play on wet grass, damp mats or in rain. Moisture makes surfaces slippery and can damage fabric covers and foam.
- Move play indoors or under a fully covered area before surfaces get wet
- Dry feet and hands before children re-enter after a shower
- Contact us if your outdoor booking needs to move inside — we will advise on space requirements
Wind and outdoor exposure
Lightweight ball pit balls and taller soft shapes can shift in wind. Open gardens without side walls on a marquee are often unsuitable.
- Use a marquee with sides or an enclosed courtyard
- Secure boundary mats so they do not lift in gusts
- Stop play if equipment moves or children are at risk
Rescheduling
If your venue cannot provide a dry, sheltered area on the day, contact us as early as possible. We will discuss rearranging delivery or a new date subject to availability.
